Music Class Fun!

  They've elarned several songs with a specific note patter, Mi-Re-Do,Second grade has been working very hard to learn a new note that will be added to our Solfa Scale.  We've been calling it "new" in class so far but will soon be calling it by its real name, "Re" (ray).  The kids have also been practicing reading notes on the staff and determining if they are line notes or staff notes.  This can be tricky, but they've got this!  It is important that we can do this now to prepare for reading music in older grades.  It may not seem like a lot, but it is the beginning of learning to read music!  They have learned several new songs with a specific note pattern, Mi-Re-Do, which has helped them to really listen for that specific note.  Check out the class below praciticing a square dance with "Great Big House" filled with PUMPKIN PIE!!
