Kindergarten Music Fun!
Kindergarten music is all about learning while playing...sometimes that means playing instruments, sometimes that means a game! The best thing about Kindergarten music is watching the kids explore music and discovering new ideas. We do have a lot of fun in here, but we've already begun trying different percussion instruments, tried several movement activities and even learned several new songs!
The kids will start creating their own percussion pieces using some familiar fall words. We are paying close attention to which words have one sound (syllable) and which have two sounds (syllables). They don't know it, but we are actually starting our preparations for reading rhythmic notation...right now, we're just sharing our creativity and have a good time!!
They've also finally finished their study of loud & soft music and are moving into FAST & SLOW!
